Kindle 2 to release February 24, 2009The Kindle 2 was announced today by Amazon's Jeff Bezos. With him on stage was Stephen King who will be publishing his latest story (a novella called "Ur") for the Kindle only. The new Kindle is thinner and faster and will contain 7 times the storage as the original Kindle 1. It also has a text to speech feature and is slated to retail at $359.00.
