"Indeed is a search engine for jobs - with a radically different approach to job search. In one simple search, Indeed gives job seekers free access to millions of employment opportunities from thousands of websites. Indeed.com includes all the job listings from major job boards, newspapers, associations and company career pages - and we continue to add new sites every day.

With the familiar look and feel of general search engines, Indeed makes it easy for you to drill down by keyword and location to jobs that fit your requirements precisely. You may save your searches and have jobs delivered to you by email alert, MyYahoo, or other RSS feed readers. If you have a MyYahoo account, for example, your saved Indeed job search may be added at the click of a button." -- Indeed web site

Check out this new Vertical Job Search Engine JobGeni http://www.jobgeni.com - Runs on Google AJAX Feed API. It's getting realtime data from several major jobsites like indeed, simplyhired, yahoo hotjobs, monster and jobster.

Yes, Indeed is a great site. So much easier than going to monster, craigslist, careerbuilder, and all the others. Another great site I found is http://www.jobgoround.com. It's a great resource for the entire job process from improving your resume, searching, interviewing, starting a new job. I like it for the same reason - it complies information into one useful site.

With the familiar look and feel of general search engines, Indeed makes it easy for you to drill down by keyword and location... this is a big help. I was able to find my project www.couponwhale.com on this!

Thanks for the suggestion!

Indeed has done an excellent job over the last couple years pulling data from hundreds of niche job boards like ours - we operate a job board exclusively for Administrative Professionals called AdminCareers.com.

Some people like getting their info in one big clearinghouse like Indeed, but plenty of people still prefer the personal touch that sites like ours provide.

Great post!

I am very interested in the evolution of search now that it's matured. The niches are truly interesting, sites like omgili and spock offer interesting twists on search, as well.
