That's actually a pretty cool idea to have the individual be motivated (watched) by 4 friends or family members.
In my experience family can either be very supportive or try to hold the person back from their weight loss for their own reasons.
It's an interesting world but I've seen husbands be supportive of their wive's weight loss while other get jealous.

I have such a hard time staying on a diet. I always start well, but just fall off as time goes by. I heard of a diet in Japan that was doing well and found a US version - http://www.banana-diet.com - that is supposed to be easy to stay on. Anyone ever heard of this? I don't want to look like an idiot because it sounds so easy, but it sure is popular.

There are many ways to lose weight. I think intermittent fasting is the best.

I agree it does take some evert to lose weight, diet pills and other drugs is not worth it. Rather get active and be healthy that popping pills and wasting time.
I’m about to begin training again. It nice to find some. Sometimes people, most certainly myself included, need to be reminded about the importance of working the legs. When I first began weight training I did exactly as you mention in your article. I concentrated on upper body and neglected my legs. Just as you state, I am paying the price now and I need to play “catch up”.
