
Nebula Awards for 2005
The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America have listed their 2005 Nebula Awards winners. Since 1965, the Nebula Awards have been given each year for the best novel, novella, novelette, and short story eligible for that year's award

Science festival at SMU aims to encourage young girls' interest in math, engineering The festival, a partnership between business such as Irving-based Exxon Mobil Corp. and Dr. Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, featured hands-on science activities, a question-and-answer session with Dr. Ride and more than 20 workshops designed to spark interest in math and science among fifth- through eighth-grade girls.
The Sally Ride Science Festival, hosted by the SMU School of Engineering, will bring together hundreds of upper elementary and middle school girls, parents and teachers for a day of science and socializing.
